Last week we brought together the key players from our charity partners for the first time to discuss how the Good Lab will be structured and explain the key points of the first cycle. It was a great session which highlighted the huge levels of excitement surrounding The Lab. We were delighted to be able to introduce two of the core team members along with an exceptional board of advisors & fellows who will be helping us along the way.
The Good Lab was first discussed way back in 2010 in Kevin's Brixton flat, 6 years later and we have finally made it happen! Its now that the time feels right for this project, with the appetite and need for transformation across the sector matching our ambition.
We feel like we have designed a programme which really has the ability to deliver the results the sector needs. Partnering with organisations such as NewCo, FutureAgenda and Makerversity provides us with the ability to explore innovation opportunities across territories that would never be otherwise possible.
Each cycle has a basic structure, but we see them all being very different and evolving over time to ensure the Lab produces the best results. We are kicking off with The Sharing Economy as we see huge potential for opportunity in that territory. We are lucky that one of our advisors, James Alexander has considerable experience in the space, allowing us to really hit the ground running.
We can't wait to get started, watch this space...!
